Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English singer and songwriter who was born on 22 August 1995, in London United Kingdom. Her debut self-titled album debuted in 2017 following her signed with Warner Bros Records. The album reached number. 3 in the U.K. Charts. The album had eight singles released including Be the One I.D.G.A.F., and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as sixth in the charts. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act and her album was certified platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa, born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London Born on 22 August 1995. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja the city of Kosovo. Two of Lipa's grandfathers were historians. She is the sister of Rina Lipa and one younger brother, named Gjin. Lipa was taught guitar playing as well as sing under the guidance of her dad Oda. Oda is the singer/guitarist who leads Kosovan's rock group Oda. The family home where Lipa grew up, was one in which her father would play music from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started singing when she was five. At the age of nineteen she began singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa recorded the song If I Ain't Gotta You By Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera to be uploaded on YouTube. Lipa made her debut record agreement in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. New Love was her debut single. New Love was released in August of 2015.
