Katherine Jean Bolduan known by the title Kate Bolduan in her profession is a journalist from American heritage. She is most well-known as anchoring CNN's morning program At This Hour. Her previous roles included co-host for the CNN morning programs on weekdays, New Day and The Situation Room. Bolduan was a part of CNN's award winning coverage of presidential elections 2012 and the 2016 presidential election. Her previous experience includes working as a Washington DC based correspondent, reporting on both the US House and Senate. Bolduan, as part of the Capitol Hill Unit, reported on legislative cycles and congress events including negotiations to raise the loan limit for federal government and the Super Committee deliberations. Bolduan worked as an assignment reporter for general assignments, covering such reports such as Christmas Day 2009 bombing attempt and the Supreme Court's landmark decision on Obamacare. Also, she covered the implementation of government stimulus plans in 2009. In 2007, she became a part of CNN as a national correspondent with CNN Newsource. As the CNN Newsource National Correspondent, she broke breaking news stories to the 800 CNN Newsource partners and provided news reports on features. Prior to that, she was with NBC News MSNBC and WTVD-TV. She lives in New York City with her spouse and two kids.
