Heidi Watney (born May 19, 1981) is an American sportscaster and a reporter for Apple TV+.A student at the University of San Diego, her past sportscasting experience includes work at MLB Network, New England Sports Network in Boston, Time Warner Cable SportsNet in Los Angeles, and two stations located in Fresno.Watney was a student at Clovis West High School in Fresno which included gymnastics, hurdles, diving and cheerleading. [1] She was a National Merit Scholar, and she was a student at the University of San Diego as an academic scholarship. In 2003 she graduated from the university with high marks. Watney was the first to finish second in Miss California USA 2002. In September 2003, Watney worked for KMPH-TV (FOX 26) in Fresno. Watney started her career as a morning traffic reporter before becoming a anchoring for the weekend in 2005 and becoming a weekday sports reporter. [3]Watney moved to Massachusetts in 2008 and began working for New England Sports Network (NESN). She was a Boston Red Sox gameday reporter. Watney hosted Ultimate Red Sox Show as well as Red Sox Report. Watney started her career at Time Warner Cable SportsNet, working as a reporter at LA Galaxy. However, she was hired by MLB Network in November 2012 where she spent nine years. She was also the host of Quick Pitch. In 2022, she joined Apple TV+. Sixteen Heidi Watney worked as a field level reporter for the MLB on TBS in 2022.
